A person’s true character is best defined in times of great stress and adversity. My wife Andrea endured an incredibly painful journey, physically and emotionally, yet she still showed amazing grace, gratitude and compassion for her caregivers, family, neighbors and friends. She had a kind and caring soul.
My goal of this site is simple - Carry on my wife's legacy. I want others to see how amazing Andrea was, of course, but more importantly, I hope the words and stories within this site can give hope, peace and comfort to others who are dealing with a seemingly impossible situation.
In death, Andrea taught us all how to live. Be in the moment, appreciate the day, and find beauty in the ordinary.
Thank You for Your Stories
Back in early 2024, I created this site and reached out to everyone we knew asking them to participate in a special Birthday project I was working on for Andrea. My goal was to create an amazing gift for someone with terminal cancer, having people express their love and gratitude BEFORE she passed. It was a wonderful success.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who submitted a story. Andrea's Birthday Book had over 50 stories for her to read and enjoy. Sadly, Andrea had to be hospitalized on her birthday, so I was unable to present the book to her until a few days later. I brought it to the hospital and she was able to enjoy it there, making it an even more meaningful and special gift than originally planned.
I've posted new photos in the 'Gallery' and created a new page titled "Virtual Funeral," which holds several items from her memorial service including a tribute video, her obituary, the memorial program I designed, and the Eulogy I delivered.
